As a state legislator, Michelle worked tirelessly to support veterans, secure our borders, fight the Fentanyl crisis, advocate for Mental Health, improve education, and promote policies that empower small businesses and working families. She fought to ensure better care for veterans and their families while championing initiatives to bring jobs and opportunities back to our communities. Even after being elected to the State Legislature, she’s stayed close to her heart and to the people of our community. She’s heavily involved in numerous not-for-profit organizations that help the elderly, children, less-fortunate, veterans, disabled, and many more. From food distributions and school supply drives, to the economy and jobs, she stays focused on our people and our areas best interests. She’s led the way for Hurricane Disaster Relief across the State with every storm that’s come Florida’s way.

TERM LIMITS Salzman is a staunch advocate for TERM LIMITS at every level of Government. While in the State Legislature, she imposed limitations on the length members of the Utility Authority in Escambia County could hold office. She also brought forth legislation that to impose TERM LIMITS on County Commissioners.
MENTAL HEALTH and Healthcare troubles are plaguing the Florida Panhandle, and to help move towards solutions Michelle Salzman founded the Mental Health Task Force of Northwest Florida. She’s brought partnerships with hundreds of individuals within support organizations, groups, and hospitals to collaborate together. The task force privately funded a comprehensive study to identify the critical issues our area experiences and develop solutions within care groups to combat them.
